What is the difference between M365 Business plans?+
Basic (USD 6/user/mo): web/mobile apps only + Exchange + Teams. Standard (USD 12.50): adds full desktop Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Premium (USD 22): adds Intune MDM + Entra ID P1 + Defender for Business EDR. RYZEN recommends Premium for most businesses handling sensitive data.
Can RYZEN migrate our existing email to M365?+
Yes. RYZEN migrates from on-premises Exchange, Gmail, Hotmail or any IMAP server. All email history, contacts, calendar and shared mailboxes are preserved. Migration is typically zero-downtime with a brief MX record cutover.
Is M365 data stored in Malaysia?+
Microsoft has data centres in Malaysia (Malaysia Multi-Geo) and Singapore. For M365 Business plans, data is typically in the Asia Pacific region. Specific Malaysian data residency is available with certain enterprise plans — RYZEN can advise based on your compliance requirements.
Does M365 Business include anti-virus?+
Business Premium includes Microsoft Defender for Business — enterprise-grade EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response) for all Windows, Mac, iOS and Android devices. Basic and Standard include basic Microsoft Defender Antivirus only.
Do we need to backup M365 data?+
Yes. Microsoft's retention policy only keeps deleted items for 30 days. RYZEN deploys Synology Active Backup for M365 — permanent backup of Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams, with granular restore of individual emails or files.
How does M365 annual licensing work?+
