How many extensions can a PABX support?+
It depends on the model. Small systems like Panasonic KX-TES824 support 8 trunks × 24 extensions. Enterprise systems like NEC SV9100 scale to 512+ extensions. IP-PBX systems like Zycoo and Grandstream UCM typically support 30–500+ concurrent calls. RYZEN will recommend the right capacity based on your current and projected user count.
What is the difference between PABX and IP-PBX?+
Traditional PABX uses analogue or digital phone lines (PSTN). IP-PBX uses internet-based SIP/VoIP technology — calls travel over your LAN or internet. IP-PBX enables remote extensions, mobile apps, lower IDD costs and CRM integration. RYZEN recommends IP-PBX for most new installations due to flexibility and cost savings.
How long does PABX installation take?+
A standard office PABX installation (up to 30 extensions) typically takes 1–2 days including cabling, programming and testing. Larger systems with structured cabling may take 3–5 days. We work around your office schedule and can do evening or weekend installations to minimise disruption.
Can RYZEN maintain our existing PABX brand?+
Yes. RYZEN services and maintains all major PABX brands — Panasonic, NEC, Yealink, Zycoo, Grandstream, Avaya, Alcatel and more. We offer 8×5 NBD maintenance contracts, fault response, spare parts and annual preventive maintenance for existing systems regardless of who installed them.
Does RYZEN offer PABX for government tenders?+
Yes. RYZEN Esolutions is MOF registered (357-0002398674) and E-Invoice ready (TIN: C29776852020). We provide full tender documentation, official quotations, warranty certificates and maintenance SLA agreements suitable for government and GLC procurement requirements.
Can staff work remotely using the office PABX?+
Yes — with an IP-PBX system. Remote staff can use a softphone app (Yealink, Zoiper or Grandstream Wave) on their laptop or mobile to make and receive calls on their office extension number from anywhere with internet access. This is a key advantage of IP-PBX over traditional PABX.
